Part Time Company Accountant

Wythenshawe

£45,000 (pro rata)

Join a small, thriving business within the pharmaceutical industry, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Executive with all financial aspects of the company. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who has already proven themselves in their career and is now looking to maintain meaningful work while enjoying more personal balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function and oversee payroll and transaction processing.

  • Collaborate closely with business owners on strategic planning and goal setting.

  • Design and improve internal financial processes.

  • Develop tools to integrate and streamline data across business systems.

  • Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts.

  • Build and monitor KPIs and financial targets to support performance tracking.

  • Create and manage budgets and cash flow forecasts.

  • Analyse performance against KPIs and budgets, and implement corrective actions where needed.

  • Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, and all tax obligations.

  • Manage statutory reporting and deadlines.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with HMRC and external auditors.

  • Prepare financial information required for bank covenants.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Background in either industry or an accountancy practice.

  • AAT/ACCA/ACA qualified or part-qualified.

  • Experience in a supervisory role or as a deputy to a Finance Director or Controller.

IT Skills Required
