Interim Head of Finance
Location: Knowsley
Day Rate: £380 per day outside IR35
Working Pattern: 3 day week onsite (part-time)
Contract Type: Temporary 6 months
The Opportunity
Accountable Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a privately-owned and growing business in the Knowsley with the appointment of an Interim Head of Finance.
Following a period of trading challenges and significant investment into the business, the organisation is entering an exciting new phase of growth. The company has strengthened its position in the market, is returning to profitability, and is seeking an experienced finance professional to support the next stage of its journey.
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the head of Finance will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, strengthening controls, and providing meaningful financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:

• Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
• Ownership of cash flow forecasting and reporting
• Monitoring business performance and providing commercial financial insight
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensuring robust financial controls and compliance across the finance function
• Managing and developing a small finance team
• Supporting senior stakeholders with financial analysis and strategic decision-making
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiencies
• Assisting with long-term financial planning as the business continues its growth trajectory

About You
The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Have previous experience operating as a Financial Controller or senior finance manager
• Possess strong financial reporting and cash flow management experience
• Be comfortable working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Have experience improving financial processes and controls
• Turnaround exposure
