A well-established organisation is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team in Warrington. This is a varied, hands-on role offering excellent exposure across stock, reconciliations, reporting and month-end processes, working closely with an experienced Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of the stock take process and related reporting
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Support with month-end and year-end close
• Balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Fixed asset reporting
• Tax pack preparation and reporting
• Review and preparation of expense claims for approval
• Sales and refund reporting
• Provide cover for accounts payable and cash management
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc duties as required

About You

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
• Good Excel capability
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Well organised with strong time management
• Confident working independently and willing to question or challenge
• Experience with Sage Intacct is advantageous but not essential
